Executive Biography

Richard J. Young is an accomplished executive with over three decades of leadership experience across commercial facilities management, IT asset strategy, and logistics operations. A distinguished military veteran, Richard leverages his background as a United States Marine Corps veteran to lead with discipline, strategic foresight, and a results-oriented approach to complex challenges. Throughout his career, Richard has been recognized for his ability to drive operational excellence, optimize multi-site logistics, and deliver innovative solutions for both federal and private sector clients.

As the Founder and Managing Director of RJY Group LLC, Richard (RJ) has led the company to become a trusted provider of preventative maintenance and logistics solutions. His leadership has enabled RJY Group to manage multi-million-dollar operational budgets efficiently and to implement cutting-edge technologies like real-time location systems (RTLS) for asset and cybersecurity tracking. Under his guidance, the company consistently exceeds client expectations and delivers scalable, quality-centric solutions for Facility Assets such as Smart Building, Direct Digital Control (DDC), Systems Configuration, Building Management System (BMS), Building Service Equipment (BSE), Process Metrics and HVAC and Chiller Preventative Maintenance & Repairs.

His leadership style is deeply influenced by his military experience, fostering strong team dynamics and a commitment to mission success. As a proud veteran, he continues to apply the discipline, resilience, and strategic thinking honed during his time in the Marine Corps to his executive roles.

Richard has earned numerous accolades for his exceptional volunteer work and contributions. Currently, he is an active member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, where he serves on the Armed Forces Appreciation Committee. He has also held leadership roles, including Chair of the Armed Services & Veteran Committee for the NAACP and Board Member of the No Excuses Foundation. Additionally, he is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and the United Way Alexis de Tocqueville society.

Richard holds advanced degrees from Northwestern University (Masters Information Systems Security & Predictive Analytics) and George Washington University (M. Eng. Cybersecurity Policy & Compliance). He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Facility Manager (CFM), underscoring his expertise in managing complex operational environments.
